I would like to thank the normality-oriented midwives at QE hospital in Kings Lynn who are offering women brilliant in-hospital care under frustrating circumstances and a lack of a homebirth service. They so want to get back out in the community and are confined to practising on hospital premises. Their loving care is appreciated by many I am sure in these dark times.

I would like to say Thank you to the 2 Midwives Emily Cole and Jamie-Louise Raven that delivered My 5th baby on 31st January 2016 at James Paget University Hospital, Gorleston, Norfolk and also everyone on Ward 11, Central Delivery Suite and Health Visitor Sally Crane.
Tommy was a suprise pregnancy which was a big shock but a happy one, he was due on 25th January but like his Brothers and Sister Alex 12, Tia 10, Adam 7 and Jamie 5 he didn’t want to arrive on time.

I was induced due to cloudy amniotic fluid and after a painful 4 hours 54 minute labour ending with a room full of Doctors and Midwives due to a Postpartum Hemmorhage 8lb 4oz Tommy entered the world.
Both Midwives were fantastic, they really are a credit to the hospital and when I take Tommy back there in 8th March for a hip scan as a clicky hip was detected by the Midwife that did the check before being discharged I will be taking some Thank you gifts in as well as a collection of knitted hats for the Central Delivery Suite as there seemed to be a bit of a shortage.

25 years ago my day started out normally but my whole world would have fallen apart by 04.30hrs 28/2/91 My son was born premature and only lived a short time. tomorrow is his 25th birthday.
I want to say thank you to the amazing staff that made such a difference to our experience, that added special memories at such an awful time, who created such precious memories, that set us on the road to grieving properly, those that continued to support us the weeks after.
Sue Brooks at Southlands Hospital
Then At Royal Sussex, Brighton- student midwife called Mitre Bakhtair ( sorry probably spelt wrong) Midwives Anna ( We named our daughter Anna) and Chris (?winstanley) who helped us through that night and the birth of our son, making it so special despite the circumstances.
My community midwife Rosemary Stratford who cared for all the family and gave my husband and I the courage to contact our local SANDS group And then the lovely Helen O’Dell (Crawley hospital at the time) who gave me so much support when I returned to work.
To you all I am forever grateful for the care and love we were given. You all did an amazing job and made such a difference then and now as I think about the day my first son was born.
Like I said this was 25 years ago I want all midwives to know how much they affect our lives
To all midwives thank you for being so amazing and giving so much
